Does your limewater completely clear?

Mine has always remained somewhat milky. I've never thought about it too much before, but now that I have it in a clear reservoir I look at it everyday was beginning to wonder.

I let mine settle overnight before I use it. I mix 5 gallons with 10 teaspoons, run a powerhead foir a while, cover it and let it sit. The sediment will settle by the next morning, leaving the solution clear. I use a pitcher to skim a gallon from the top, add it to my makeshift top off unit, and then let it sit in there for a while so any sediment I did pull up will settle. Then it's a slow gravity drip from the resevior of just clear solution. You can use a pump but be sure it is raise in the container so as to not pull up any sediment.

Just asking if it's clear like water; i have been dripping lime for a long time. I know my make up has never been clear, but for years it's been in a tropic Marin pail. Now that I'm in the new reservoir a week and its no longer out of site, I know its not going clear for me. Just wondering.

Mine looks clear to me after a two hour settle. never really examined it closely.

I wouldn't describe mine as milky, but slightly cloudy. I mix mine in a grey brute, so it might not seem as milky as the mix that others use. I use 4 level cups of kalk per 30 gallons with 700ml of vinegar.

Mine I would call clear, although it does have a slight haze to it. I guess I would liken it to hot water in a glass threat has the million tiny air bubbles in it. But it should definitely should not look like milk. Slightly opaque when looking through a clear container is ok
