Don’t let me down

The best thing, I think, about salt-water aquariums is the fact that you find new things in your tank that you didn’t put in there or you didn’t know you had.

Okay, my kids found, yet something new today. I told them you guys would know what it (they) are. So don’t let me down. I tried taking a picture but it is not good enough to see.

It’s a straight row of 6 white tabs on a piece of rock. They’re hard but flexible the size of your pinky finger nail. If you touch them nothing happens, they’re present day and night.

upload it to photobucket or email it to me and ill do it for you.

Just a question,
Are these like little white discs line up in perfect rows? Also, do you happen to have a fighting conch in your tank? Just wondering because it sounds like eggs to me...

BINGO! Yes, little white disks in perfect rows, yes I have conchs!

You guys/gals are good. Even with that terrible picture I posted you got it!

There you go.... I have conchs and they also reproduced. Depending on inhabitants of your tank, the eggs may or may not make it. Mine did, I don't know how, fish, coral, anemone(at the time), and other various types of inverts. Apparently after they hatch they go through a planktonic free swimming stage where they will likely become food for your fish and corals. The skimmer will also remove from your water column. I got lucky and have lots of those little buggers, but have removed adults, as I witnessed them taking my snails out one by one...
