I am starting this thread to document my most recent endeavor, a new 75G reef tank. Here are the specifications to start with as I plan to add more automation down the road:

Tank: 30 x 24 x 24 with continuous overflow at the rear. I also had the bottom drilled to add a secondary drain for the closed loop system.
Sump: custom built 20G
Protein Skimmer: Bubble-magus curve 5
Closed loop system: pump with version 3 oceans motion wave maker.
Lighting: Ecotech Radion X30 pro
Custom stand and canopy.

Tank is currently cycling with 25lbs of live rock transferred over from my decommissioned 28G nano cube and an additional 25lbs of cured live rock from another long established reef tank.

Where did you get the tank? Any reason why u went rimless and installed a canopy and not open top? Just curious as it seems to be the trend

I had the tank custom built to my specifications through a local tank builder. I don't like open top tanks because it let's too much light into the room. Also I knew I wanted to run the oceans motion to the 4 corners of the tank and the canopy hides the tubing.

Oh and my wife would kill me before she'd let me put holes in our ceiling to mount the light.

finally got the tank cycled and was able to scape my tank

Also I just added a brs media reactor running rox and gfo in the sump
