Now my Xenia is thriving great, frogspawn, toadstool, zoas, suncoral, and gsp are all doing GREAT. Even the purple shrooms with blue dots are perfectly fine.

my water is
PH 8.2
ammonia 0
nitrite 0
nitrate 5

is this just something they do. or are they going down hill

Check the flow that they are in. They like medum flow. In the second picture it looks like there is more light. That could also be a factor.:)

they are in the same area..no different light..its just the way I did the post process on the pic the first one looks darker.

There is special mushrooms forum - Corallimorpharians, people may help faster.

My hairy mushrooms ribboned off from the rock and desintegrated in the first hours in the tank, where all other corals are perfectly good. Only one left - I moved it in another tank, much better. Then it started to grow really big. This tanks always has alkalinity around 10 dKH, while the first tank drops it quickly to the 8 dKH in a few days. Could be coincidence, could be not. In the second tank the flow is pretty high - 25x turnover rate, ends of this big mushroom are sometimes lifted by flow. So low flow shouldn't be an issue. This mushroom is very tolerant to low light, but will appreciate more. Some of my mushtoom(s) photos before and after are here.

Good advice. Corallimorphs aren't soft corals- they're known as 'false corals'.

Check you pumps for build up....Make sure flow is the same....Mine actually like more than normal flow....Also, try to get rid of that nitrate of 5......
