But Suffolk County Fish and Reef had some small really dark red anemones he said were from Africa... See you guys are rubbing off on me, a month ago I would have bought it and asked later :D

Here ya go my camera phone didnt do a great job :( as always they were Helpful and didnt mind if I took a pic...

hmm not really good enough for me to ID. I'm glad you asked first, learning faster than most :). I remember when I frequented the wholesalers they would occasionally get in deep red anemonies, but I remember finding out that they were actually temperate/cold water anemonies. but this may not be the case for them.

I forget the name of that temperate one, but it is really crimson--Joe (justjoe) knows the species name. How big was this guy and what were they asking for it?

I would have to double check the price I think around $40 and this was the size of a silver dollar maybe a bit bigger... They looked really healthy/

I was there this weekend...it is the real deal. Very nice.

They have a lot of nice pieces, too.

And, I even got a Happy Holiday greeting and a smile...no extra charge!

I bought some of those at Aqua-hut about a year ago. Don was not sure what they were. They were extremly sticky and could ingest large pieces of silversides. They did not move around and light did not not seem to be an issue. I sent pics to Ron Shimek and did not know what they were. I can tell you they cost about 13 bucks each or 2 for 25

Have fun
