damnit... I came home the other day, and I noticed my tank was a bit cloudy, but I had also heavily fed some phyto, so that was normal. A few more days went by, and I didn't notice that my newly aquired marine betta was not popping out occasionaly to see "whats up".

SOOOOOOO.... I fed the tank some mysiss and the occupants were loving it... but still no sight of the betta.

3 days now, I fear he is gone/ POOF JAMAICA !

Just off and dissapeared as if it was Copperfield. :eek1:

Have you ever had a Marine Betta before? I know they're shy and are easily intimidated by more aggressive fish, but is it typical for them to be difficult to feed? Was it feeding in the store?

I ask because I've considered one for my tank as well.

DuuuuuuUUUuuUUUuuude! I raised that thing from about 1"! Feeding was never an issue. You tried frozen mysis? If that doesn't work some live feeders of some kind might be useful. It loves live grass shrimp but they are hard to find around here.

Yeah, I tried everything.

It went " POOF JAMAICA" last weekend.

I can only assume it was so stressed out due to the change in environment that it just couldn't handle it.

gah, I hate loosing fish.
