iv seen that some people will take their anemones and cut them in two. is this just as same as them spliting? how long will it take them to heal when you cut them in two? do they feel it when you do this to them? thank you.

wont work with all of them, basically the same as natural fission, they generally heal around in a couple hours, takes the better part of a week or two (depending on water chemistry) for the cut to completely heal...and not sure i have never heard one scream...

If it did hurt, they wouldn't know it. They have no brain. The health of the anemone is very important before one is cut in two. The only successful fragging I know of has taken place with anemone that are known to split on their own. H. magnifica and E. Quadracolor.

I wouldn't recommend anyone try cutting an anemone in half unless they have years of experience with keeping one alive and healthy in the first place. I've been doing this for a long time, and I still haven't gotten up the courage to cut one in half.
