Dosing Pump Units - Which One?

Looking to get an all in one dosing unit, had the BRS ones in the past, looking to simplify things and get one with programming built in.

What are peoples thoughts and which units do you own?

Thanks!

I just picked up a vertex libria standard motor version. Only been using it since Saturday. It was super easy to set up. A bit on the pricy side.

I wouldn't trust Vertex.
They can't even make a dosing container that doesn't leak, and it took them a loooong time to fix the software running the doser. I had several friends run into issues where the doser would EMPTY their containers into their tanks overnight.

bubble magus BM T-01, has worked well for me. I only use two out of the three pump heads, keeping the third for spare. Dosing Alk and Ca - ESV 2 part. Easy to program and so far reliable for past year.

I would either be going with the GHL Doser 2 or wait for the Apex if you're running one and only need two pumps.

Litermeter 3 is a great solution too. You can add up to 3 slave pumps for a total of 4 pumps. It's easily calibrate-able to insure accuracy and can be programmed to dose as much as you want. What ever you set it to will be divided up over the course of a 24 hour period to insure slow dosing.

I know a couple of guys that have the vertex unit and never had an issue. Also I have no idea why anyone would pay the price of the containers any of theses places sell. You can pick up food grade glass jugs for cheap.

I've been running the Jebao doser DP4 for a good 2 months now and it works just fine (so far anyways)
Can't beat the price..

Go with GHL New Doser they are amazing. I saw the Apex at MACNA and it's way to big. Looks like a old Reel to Reel Player.

Jeabao, I stay clear from their products. Nothing but problems that I had with their pumps. You pay for what you get for, and for me, I have too much $$ involve with my livestock to chance putting a cheap pump that will fail.

+1
No other pump has the long history of durability and reliability of the LiterMeter.

LOL.. What does that say about medical grade dosing pumps like the Cole Palmers?? Big yes and arguably the most reliable pumps you can get.

The Apex pump is big because of the stepper motors it uses which are much more reliable than the typical peristaltic motors used in most dosing pumps. They also offer the advantage of being variable speed which adds a level of control and speed not found in most dosing pumps. The Apex while big offers a lot of advantages over most of the other dosing pumps. It does look funky compared to traditional dosing pumps though. I've got to give you that much.

This I couldn't agree with more.
