Is anyone dosing the above using a Litermeter pump. The question is the baking soda solution settles pretty quick, does the solution need to be constantly mixed or do you get the same result from just the saturated solution.
Warm up the water and then shake it. If i have that problem after mixing i will fill up the sink with hot water then put the jug in there to warm it up then it should mix better. And no u wont get the same result with only saturated soda it has to be fully mixed
i think he is asking if it settles after you shake it when using a dosing pump
and if so that is a great question
i use a brs dosing pump and have never even thought about it
i might go re shake my alk solution
I heat my water almost to a boil to get the baking soda to dissolve completely. Once it does, though, I don't get anything settling to the bottom. I dose my 2-part with BRS dosing pumps on timers.
I've never had a problem with baking soda settling out of solution. I heat my ro/di water to 130-150 degrees and then add baking soda to it. It dissolves relatively quickly and thoroughly in hot water (with some shaking) and doesn't settle out again.
I dose alk, ca and mag on 3 BRS dosing pumps run by my RKE. I get my baking soda from Costco in the 13.5lb bag.
I actually never really thought about heating the water,i will try that and see what happens. Are any of you just dosing the three part or are you using Kalk,CA reactors or the like.
