Dottybacks - compatibility

Was thinking of adding a few fish to my 90g tank.

Already Have:
Foxface
2 Ocellaris
6-Line Wrasse
Flame Angel

Definite new additions:
Melanuras Wrasse
Sand Goby (Yellow Watchman, Diamond, ...)

I want to get some purple in there so I was thinking of a Strawberry Dottyback (Pseudochromis porphyreus).

Any comments or other ideas for a smaller purple fish?

I had a real bad Pseudochromis Porphyreus in my first tank, it was a bully all the time. I also have a friend who got one, after 3 days of it being aggressive he had to take all the rocks out of the tank to catch the Pseudochromis- he then brought it back to a LFS

They are some mean fish, I would take mine out if I could. Out of your list he might harass the wrasses a bit

Orchid Dottyback = Pseudochromis fridmani = Fridmani Dottyback

I've seen both species sold as "purple Pseudo".
The price will often give away the more desirable fish- but not always.

FWIW Dottybacks from the Red Sea used to cost upwards of $100.
Since they started being captive bred the price has dropped and they're a bargain.

Orchid Dottys can be kept in pairs and harems. There's a thread somewhere that showed a large group of them in a reef aquarium. Their true brilliant coloration cannot be captured in a picture.
