Doug's 300DD Starphire Reef Build

Looking great, Doug. Sorry I was out of state and missed moving day.

Looking forward to updates... really like the looks of the back wall 'scaping...

That tank is heavy!!! lts gonna be an awsum sight to see when its completed! Along the lines of Mike above, that was probably bar none the best Bar-B-Q I have ever had, Rib Crib is like Dog food to me now, I am ruined, if you ever leave your day job, you seriously have a good back up profession.

Ditto! Can't go on enough about the BBQ.

well you inspired me to try this rock wall stuff. just finished wacking up the egg crate and sent Jeri off to get the supplies. i'm not going to wrap the overflows on mine, just 3 insets.
Doug i do appreciate you calling me and giving me some pointers

Doug and Susan...THANK YOU FOR THE GREAT MEAL...There is nothing more fun than to get togeather with friends to BS about fish and corals and to top it off you guys had a Killer Meal......we should all get togeather more like that....I am STILL full!!!!!! Now...Doug.....DO WATER!!

You are welcome Mike & Carol. Nice having you over and that was fun. Not much fun moving tanks. Eats are always good and glad you enjoyed. We will have to do it again...

can't wait to see that wall in there with your aquascaping. I think that will be cool and a brilliant idea if it keeps you from having to deal with scraping the back glass.

Thanks for the compliments Stephanie. That was the whole idea in the building rock wall to make the back glass useful.

Ya the tank is heavy but I thought the move went pretty smooth. Thanks for your help.
And I am glad you enjoyed my ribs and brisket. Sorry you are ruined from Rib Crib now, didn't intend on having quite that effect. So I guess you will be dropping by more often for my Bar-b-q. You know the secret is in the marinating and how it is cooked. I couldn't let that secret slip out to Rib Crib.

Glenn, I am glad you liked the Bar- b-q. I was wondering why you were not talking much during the meal.

You are welcome. Good luck with your rock build. You will have to post some pics.

Those boards will provide some excellent space for SPS placement! I can't wait to see it all grown in. Are you going to keep the acros on the top boards with the montis a little lower and zoanthids coating the bottom twigs? I think you're on to something!

On a serious note...
I'm looking forward to see that rock wall all covered with coralline and grown in. I loved the look when I did it on the small scale and am looking forward to seeing the grown up version.

Cody can you post pics of your rock build I have sleep since you did yours.

had a good time and glad to help! Can't wait till it is full and growing! I know we missed the bbq, but the little one lost it about 3 secs out of you edition. Lookn good!!

Here it is. I don't have anything recent as I cracked the tank before the move to PCola. I have it sitting in my garage awaiting a new box of glass one of these days

Thanks Chris for stopping by to help I really appreciated your help. I understand with the little ones, maybe you can stop by another time for some bbq.

Also a big thanks to Roman & Chance for your help.

Very nice Cody on a small scale. I used the black pond foam. Here are some more pics. Now the boards can be pulled away now the wall is sealed in.

Hey George, Thanks for the offer. May you can drop by sometime when I get my Apex and give me some tips on set up. How is your tank doing?
