Dr. Roy, what sort of floor cleaner is OK...

Dr. Roy,

I remember you mentioning an incident with your specimens being wiped out due to a floor wax. This has made me wary (read:very Paranoid) about cleaning products in general.
I was wondering what sort of floor cleaners are ok for Inverts/Mantis.

I have Castille soap, which is without fumes, I believe, as well as general cleaners, like Ivory soap.

Any suggestions/advice, as always, will be greatly valued.

Ammonia does not seem to cause problems, but in general, I can't give you a list of problem compounds. The problem I had was with industrial wax stripper that the custodians use in our building. Also, one floor drain trap dried out and there was an acetone spill in another lab. The fumes came up into my lab and took out quite a few animals.
