Dragonvale's 125 long adventure....

Tank looks great

Very clean Jason

Thanks guys. I decided I wanted a quite tank so I'm downgrading the return pump. Since I didn't really take into the account the amount of flow through the sump along with how narrow this tanks is it was just better for a downgrade.

I am also wanting more rock but don't want to risk live rock from my tanks or other individuals. Nor do I want to deal with cycling new rock also :(

What about some of the reef rock 2.0?i think it's made by Walt Smith and it's fake.. From what I remember it looks pretty realistic and shouldn't require any cycling.. Tank looks great by the way taking your time really paid off=)..

I'm getting ready to get rid of some of those colonies so I kept you first in line but it's a drive for you and not sure if you wanted to make the trek.. Pm me if you still want them.. I think your close to putting in corals right? . I got 3 8" plus colonies of pretty much bullet proof sps fwiw..

Yeah, just looked up the price for the 2.0 and its up there 25 lbs for $200. May just live with what I have then just acid what I have and just use a separate container to cycle them. If you can hold the for two weeks lights will be up and rolling by then. I'll PM you. Are you headed to neptunes grand opending or the MARS swap?

Since I'm waiting on a new return pump and I'm waiting for this weekend to install the halides. I decided to see what all the hype was in regards to these reefbrites. Yes, they were a pretty penny for supplemental lighting, but after seeing them on the tank. I can say they are worth every penny! I'm running two 36" bars on this tank which I just threw them on top just to see how they looked.

How do you like the RW 20 pump? I bought 2 for my 120, big mistake!! Those things move so much water it's amazing! If they seem to be too much and you can't return them just use an adjustable power supply to dial them down beyond what the supplied controller can do.

Maybe I'm wrong but 525GPH doesn't seem too much for a 125L? I got them based on their description.

The RW pumps can go down as low as 10% power, or 525 gal/hour, or as high as 100% power, or 5,250 gal/hour.

Can those Jabao pumps do Master and Salve setting like Ecotach?

Yes.....

Each slave pump's output can be adjusted individually, while the master pump controls the wave function.

The RW-20 is equivalent to the WP-60 in output, and is similar in size, and quieter than the WP-60.

Wow!!! That tank is looking great! Really like your rock work

Thanks Colin. Trying to avoid putting items on the sand but I'm sure it will happen LOL

Decided to add the RW-20 and boy does it push water! I have it at the lowest setting as of right now, and with just one I'm sure I can create a wave to go over the rim of the tank. Can't imagine having both synced to one another and in wave mode. I'll install the other RW-20 next week.

I seriously hate this hood! I wanted the top of the hood's lid to come off which was created but there is a middle brace still which ruins the middle lighting. So I literally can't screw in a middle fixture to the lid, it would have to be attached to the middle brace (which I'll have to extend). Oh yeah, since there is a middle brace this also affects the mounting for my lumen brites which were geared to be attached to the lid also!

Also the lumen brights bought were too tall! So I couldn't use them. So I decided to go with Bat wings from my buddies hydro shop since its the lowest height for a reflector.

Pardon the over painted spots. I'll have to clean it up with some mineral cleaner.

If anyone is interested in some reflectors.

Looking good man.. Always wanted a chevron =)..

I might take those lumenbrites off your hands.. I'll Pm you..

Yes, nice chevron. Take lots of pic of the juvenile pattern now because they transition to adult coloration pretty quickly. Mine is just a different type of gorgeous now.

Wow, its been close to 3 months since I updated this journal. Still not done about 60-70%. Still have to do my head unit, switch out the return pump, setup my dosers and test, setup ATO, label all the switches on the DJ strip, and clean up all the wires.

Don't mind the tape and wires LOL

Dang man that's like an insta-reef lol.. Some serious roids Goin on in there to grow frags in 3 months =) j/k looking good man.

Whoa!! Your tank is packed! Lookin good, look forward to seeing it complete. Although reef tanks are never complete :) Makes me want to get some new corals for my tank.
