I have been using duel herbie style overflows. full siphon was 3/4 inchs and Emergency 1"

What I am going to do is convert a 1 inch line into a siphon drain and the other 1 inch line as an Emergency. Maybe using 1 of the 3/4 inch lines as a return and capping off the other 3/4 line. Would you think it will work? Seems to me this is the same thing as a bean. These pictures are what I have there now

Nother question. My pump has a 3/4 discharge. I would like to go 1 inch all the way to the tank but I have to step it down at the 3/4 lockline. Should the return line be 3/4 all the way. Or is it ok to step from a 1 inch out of the pump to a 3/4 before the lockline?
Thanks

No - Don't do that. Here is a video I made for a good way to run 2 internal overflows with 4 holes.

For the returns, I also use a 1" return all the way to the tank but then I split it into 4 3/4" lockline nozzles. This prevents any loss of volume.
