Drawbacks with captive breed livestock?

My LFS is totally against captive breed fish (and corals),

She is likely against it because it's cheaper to buy wild caught fish and coral and it's irresponsible attitudes like that that threaten the hobby IMO. We made a point to raise our own coral so we know where its from and what it likes, any LFS out there that claims that wild caught coral is better is not only misinformed but, they are lying or don''t care to know the truth of the matter.

I'm sure this woman didn't carry aquacultured livestock either, did she? She told you a load so you will buy her wild-caught fish. Many aquacultured specimens are almost bullet-proof and have a very good track record. Aquacultured are slighty more expensive and obvioulsy she's not willing to pay that.
