Dremel Diamond Wheel

FYI -

I was overhearing conversation about the Dremel Diamond Wheel this past Saturday at the regional frag swap - thanks again Karl.

Some people had commented on having a hard time trying to find it at their local Home Deport. The new Home Depot in Westlake seems to be carrying it - they were out when I last looked on Monday.

Price was around $14.00

Amazon.com also has links to diamond wheels through those who have e-stores there, last time I got a pack of 4 for $6, sure it's not "Dremel brand" but I sure went through them fairly quickly (surprising when you're cutting through 3/8" of glass!)

Home Depot off of High St. in Oakland has them. Diamond wheel is the way to go. Much faster, less heat, less damage, less smell compared to abrasive discs.

I concur. Diamond wheel cuts right through the LSPs and I also use it to cut off all of the extra skeleton on my LPS colonies to make them sit flat. I did have a heck of a time finding one locally in Marin and the San Bruno area but online would be the easiest way.

Ugh, they annihilated the Westlake shopping area with that stupid linen outlet or whatever they're building that took away hundreds of parking places, good luck finding a place to park anywhere near there.

No way man - it's great.

The new Home Depot has it's own parking lot unlike that mess in Colma - blech.

I think they tore down the JCPenny or was it Ross - Dress Like a Mess store can't remember now.

It's a nice area.

You sure you're not confusing things?? Colma has it's own parking lot, granted the parking lot is quite crowded often, but I used to love going to the Trader Joe's at Westlake, now they got that little b.s. outdoor mall thing going in, and those huge buildings, and now there's zero place to park. Maybe homedepot is far enough away that it doesn't have to deal with that though *shrug*

Yah, I'd heard the Harbor Freight had the best price on those. Made in China, if I remember right.

Got mine at Home Depot because I wanted it right then and there. Paid too much for it :)

I live in westlake. Yes the parking can be an issue, but I can just walk around. I actually enjoy living here with all this stuff going up. I have a bank, 2 grocery stores, a couple of decent restraunts, and a post office. other than the higher rent, and not having a fish store closer, I really like it. :)

OT at this point - Yep Home Depot has it's own parking lot (it's across from Bulington Coat Factory). So from the Trader Joe's area it would be behind it.
