Drilling a 2 gallon Goldfish bowl

Hi,

I just picked up a 2 gallon goldfish bowl and I want to make the following modifications:

(BTW, time is of the essence as because I just picked up (3) Dori's, (7) Nemo's, and the Stingray schoolteacher...forgot the name. They should be fine for a few hours, I have them in the bathtub. I know filtering is important so I modified the drain in the tub to drain slowly while I'm adding water from the tub faucet around the same rate.)

Ok, here are the mods:

Drill (4) 1" holes for a Closed loop system
Add a surge device
Mount (2) 250W MH lights
Add a HOB capable of handling 10000GPH.
This will feed into my 200G sump I have beneath the fish bowl stand.

Anything I'm missing?

Thanks,

Jason

OMG....I am stupid. The salt...

Is it seriously table salt or are you trying to guide me down the wrong path? Someone told me it was the salt you throw on your driveway...

Can anyone rectify this?

Sigh....when will people learn that salt is just going to give the fish hypertension and heart disease...go with Mrs. Dash - your fish will be much happier and spicier. Also if you use some oregano in the tank you will need less "salt" and still retain the various flavors of your corals (you are going to make that bowl sps dominant right?)

Lets see some pictures of the tank build,do you need to borrow my glass suction cup handles to move the fish bowl, js

It would be freakin' hilarious if someone went ahead and drilled a fish bowl, plumbed it to a sump, and spotlighted it with 500W of MH just to spite this thread! I might have to offer an award to the first person to do this! Heck, this would be better than the Redneck Reef Build I proposed in my 55G build over on TRT!!!

It should be connected to a computer that controls temperature, light conditions, and water motion by linking it via the Internet to actual conditions on a reef in Australia.
