Drilling for overflow with 2 bulkheads?

Am I overthinking this? It seems like you would need a pattern of some sort to make sure the spacing is exactly correct for the overflows bullheads right? Those that drilled for a dual bulkhead overflow, did you make a pattern first or just rely on measuring with a tape measure?

I've drilled a couple tanks, but it's always been for a single bulkhead.

A jig or wood template will keep the saw from walking on you.

I understand what u r asking. I just use a take measure and tape. Mark my cut on the tape then use a templet to keep the bit where I need it
