Drilling Glass for 1/2' bulk heads

So...I ordered the bulk heads and I am doing some practice runs with a 1/2' bit I bought...I can tell that the hole wont accomidate the outside diameter of the bulk head (threads and such)...anybody know what size hole I should be drilling..??
A 3/4 piece of pipe measures aprox. 1' in OD so im thinking the bulk head will be about the same...should 1' be my hole size..??

Also the POS Black and Pecker bit drills the holes lop-sided...
Any sugestions for a better manufacturer that drills nice holes?

The size of the hole will depend on the bulkhead you use. Most 1/2" bulkheads need a hole that is 1 1/8" in diameter.

As far as drilling the hole, you might want to talk to Steve (Funman1). He bought some diamond hole saw bit that will cut through glass like a knife cutting through butter.

This is what Im reading 1" and an 1/8 diameter for 1/2" bulk heads~!
