Ok so people say that you should only drill as far as away as the diameter of the hole you drill, O thers just go as close as they want to the edge. Any one have any input.

But to answer your question, I wouldn't drill anything any closer than 2" from any edge. I think anything less is asking for a place to break your tank.
i just drilled my 220 i was told my a buddy that drills tank the width of the bulk head from bulkhead to bulkhead and the same goes for the sides and top or bottom of tank if u go closer u run the chance of cracking ur tank.
I also agree that should do at least a bulk head distance, if not 1.5, between holes and the side of the tank. I would rather be safe, then have a very wet, expensive mess all over.
