If you are like me you find the chore of refilling the fish's fresh drinking water bowl a PITA. It seems like every other day it needs refilled and probably once a week I have to clean the algae off the bowl. So I decided to try one of those Hamster Water Bottles with the self feeding tube and the thing works great!!! I was worried if the fish would figure it out, but they took right to it. The only problem I had was at the high demand periods like right after I feed the fish there was a lot of fighting going on to get to the fresh water. My Purple Tang in particular would stake out his position right in front of the water dispenser and not let anyone else get their fresh water until he was done. I added a second water dispenser on the opposite side of the tank and the problem pretty much went away. Anyways I thought I would share the idea with any of you who find the chore of providing fresh drinking water a pain.
