Things are really looking nice. Love the pic with the 10 gal on the stand.

That was rather funny looking. I like the 180 better. :D

Pg nine is mine. :smokin:

Thats exactly what I was thinking. I personally made about 10 trips to Home depot and lowes during my plumbing.

Is that a PC program you use for the plumping?

Kinda interested in that.

Looks good man, keep us posted.

Hey Gradth, your 180 is looking great btw! You're killing me... you already have fish/coral in your tank. :D The program I used to mock up the plumbing was google sketchup. Best of all it's free! You can also download different models from the online "warehouse" to use in your sketchup. Tons of models to choose from. That's where I got the Dart and the true union ball valves and such. Here's the link. :)

looking good.... i love your sketchup.. i guess i have to re-do it my plumbing with pvc...

You should, H.Veras. I'm sure it would turn out nice. I like working with PVC mostly because I like the fumes. :D J/K

Thanks, its coming together slowly. But is looking good I think. The algae bloom is getting to be a pain. Trust me, im not killing you. Soon as you get that thing going its gonna blow mine away. I just have ADD:D

I will check out sketchup. Im thinking I played with it when it first came out, but didnt figure it out, or just glanced at it. Give it another try.

WOW! Very nice! Do I dare to ask what your electrical will look like now? Just kidding! Thanks for your input on my tank. I am definitely following this thread-it will help me plan out my dream setup.

Glad you stopped by jackcarp. I'm sure you're build will be spectacular. I'll be tagging that one for sure. I'm trying to figure out a way to wire this tank off the grid. :D

UPDATE:

Back at it again today. Finally got the bottom shelf done. I laminated it the same way I did the top. Now I have a place to set my stuff. :D I'm going to trim around the bottom of the stand with some pvc board and silicone it in at the floor. And, still need to finish paint it. Next project is building the platform for the return pump. :)

This is one of the nicest builds I have seen in a long time! So much attention to detail...going to be a great tank for sure.

At one point I was going to finish my stand with laminate but ended up just painting it instead. Now I kind of wish I had gone with the laminate! How hard was it to work with?

BTW, I really admire your attention to detail. This is going to be a really nice tank.

Keep up the good work!

Thanks a bunch nebraskareef. :)

Justin, if my tank turns out half as nice as yours I will be thrilled. Seriously. Your tank is absolutely stunning.

As for the laminate, it is really easy to work with. It's a little unnerving knowing that you only have once chance when gluing it up but other than that it's great. If you have a flush cutting bit and a router you're good to go. The contact cement stinks like you wouldn't believe so it would be best to do your project outside if possible. Lost some brain cells I'm sure. :D
