drummereef's 180g in-wall build

One of these weekends I am going to move my 180 behind a wall just like you did. I currently have my sump under the tank. When mine goes behind the wall I am going to bring the sump out from under the tank and put perpendicular to the tank. My skimmer is under the stand and it is coming out as well.

Sounds like a good plan ebe. Always nice having plenty of access to your equipment.

I will be really interested to see how this goes, particularly the plumbing aspect. Looks GREAT!

You ask and you shall receive. :D Here's some sketchup plans of the plumbing so far. Up for debate at this point.

All I can say is its perfect so far! Can't wait to see it stocked!!!

Aquabucket, how the heck are you man!!!? :) Nice to see you around. How's your 40g doing?

Very nice plumbing plans! But I think you just cheated yourself out of a dozen trips to the hardware store to get that part you didn't think you'd need. :D

Very nice graphics. I told myself I wouldn't post to this thread until the sump was in place, and now that you have a virtual sump, the code of silence is lifted. :D

Turn that skimmer around so the cup is near the front and the output is on the left side of the sump. More travel time means less bubbles in the return section.

Well it's about time! I'll definitely do that Marc. Thanks for that tip, I would have never thought of that. I'll post a new drawing tonight. :)

Thats exactly what I was thinking. I personally made about 10 trips to Home depot and lowes during my plumbing.

Is that a PC program you use for the plumping?

Kinda interested in that.

Looks good man, keep us posted.

Subscribed? You betcha!

Thanks a lot Electrobes. I tend to go a little overboard on the details sometimes. Thanks for stopping in and following along.
