I have an autostart/switchover genny and i have a large Apex setup and 3 different Tunze systems, and they all work fine on my genny..
I hooked mine up in a day...with pre planning for parts and tools..do you just wire what you want ran via the generator into the switch over panel? Or does it feed back into main panel to feed what's running?
I have easy access to my E panels as well as the main gas line is right near all this so the supply would be just fine. Hmmmmm

I hooked up a whole house Generac 15kw 4-years ago and haven't looked back. Power outages are common in my area, so installing a generator was a nobrianer. If you can afford it go the extra step and install it so you can run your entire house. You will surprised at how easy it is. Contact your electric company and ask them for "peak kw useage" for a 24-month period. Or hook up a meter/recorder on your incoming power feed to determine what your house "actually uses". You will be amazed that the difference of a "emergency panel" vs. a whole house feed with little difference between the two. The minimum generator (even for a e-panel hook-up) should be 8-12kw imo.
Given my power situation, I could never live without a generator.

NOTE THE ADD...OCD attention to detail as everything is sitting prefectly on a Paper towel!:spin2:UPDATE:

I know everyone likes graphs so here's the pH and Temp graphs from last week.

Brett,
After looking at your chemistry numbers aren't you a bit concerned with running your alk that high while using pellets? From all my research and some local experience here, I've seen some tanks crash with that high of alk while running pellets. I thought when running the ULNS that you were suppose to keep alk more towards NSW @ 8.
