Hey, guys. I need to order some dry goods (for both salt and fresh tanks) and the shipping ends up being $8~$12. Anybody interested in joining me? I was thinking drsfostersmith.com, but am open to recommendations if you want to join.

Me and nik will be placing an order too, probably from drsfostersmith.com so we can split it if you want. Ill also be placing an order at bulkreefsupply and have one at premiumaquatics waiting to be shipped. let us know.

Sounds good. Pick out what you want from dfs and we'll plan on making the order like on Monday next week?

Yall may already know this and if so ignore me! LOL! There is some type of program our club signed up for with Drfoster and smith. you get discounts if you spend over a certain amount of money. I think it was like 10% if over a certain dollar amount. Just for what it worth.

You have to spend over $500... And items like salt and some others aren't applied toward the $500 amount...

Heh. I was more in the $50 range, personally. I'll post items tomorrow and order when I get info and payment details from those who have posted as interested. I can wait as late as Wednesday if I need to.

CD-22935 Coralife 10,000°K 24W straight pin $13.09
CD-901191 Seachem Prime 250 ml $7.49
CD-908783 Hikari Crab Cuisine 50 g $1.99

Let me know about payment and pickup and stuff. cheers. I was hoping to get some Seachem Excel, but it went up like 50% in price. ouch...

Tell me about it. I need the Flourish Excel 2 litre and it is about $8 more than last time. I really need to get a CO2 system going.

I paid $20 for my last bottle, but that must have been almost 2 years ago. Some places sell a 4L for $52 or so if you wanted to split....shipping might be nasty though. That's almost 10lbs. it might be justified if we ordered from bigals instead. i think it's like $58 their. they are cheaper than DFS on a lot of stuff.

I've never used Big Al's, but if you want to do that and split a 4L bottle, I am game. I reckon we need to check out the shipping to make sure we do not have an extra charge, though. I quick internet search shows several places selling the 2L bottle for around $23 to $27. I do not know who most of them are, though.

I have an account with them. I could handle the order if you want (VIP Points :) ). I just checked, and the Excel is 4L $56.99 and $9.99 shipping for just that. I added everything else I want and the shipping only went up a buck. Check them out and LMK if you can get what you want from them at a good price and want to go through them.

I found better prices on excel too, but all wanted like $20 in shipping, the ebay-style scam of a low price that ends up costing more. LMK if you find a better total price.

EDIT: Big Al's is doing 10%+ off everything right now too. It shows up at checkout.

hey there, is it too late to put in for a bulb? if not, i need a:

CD-21123 34" SmartPaq
10000ºK/Actinic 460nm 96W $31.99

it says they were back ordered, but should have been in on 1/9.

if its not too late, let me know what i owe ya with shipping. thanks!

I think we are heading more towards Big Al's at the moment. It is not too late to join.

Joel, I'll take half the 4L bottle of Excel and Seachem Flourish 500ml (for $8.99).

Scott, got it. The 10%+ off promotion ends in 2 days...

Long term, especially if you get a pressurized co2 set up, you'll want to look into using dry fertilizers. Liquid fertilizers are mostly water and end up being less cost-effective. Flourish is about the same as Plantex CSM+B, which you can get for $10 per 1/2lb. It should last you at least a year.

I get my dry ferts from www.greenleafaquariums.com. Orlando, the owner, is a stand up guy, and shipping is quick. He built a custom co2 regulator to my specifications. I'll need to reorder ferts here in another month or two... my 75g tank burns through nitrates QUICK under the T5s.... like 3tsp KNO3 weekly(!).

Plan on placing the order tomorrow evening, then, to keep the discount. Everybody who has posted as interested please have your orders up or to Joel by then.

Dana, I think the light you want is not available at Big Al's. Please take a look.

They just call it Seachem Flourish. It does have the trace elements...

Seachem Flourish 500 ml
