DSLR's LCD Screen Has Gone Wonky

Allons-y!
I'm pretty sure that this will require a professional repair shop but I'm not sure what would qualify any particular shop as "professional?" Can anybody help me try to figure out how to pick a repair shop that's qualified to work on my camera? Also, any ideas about how much I could expect to pay for this kind of repair?

Your best bet is probably the manufacturer. I know that the minimum repair cost from Canon is about $150.

Most likely but that's going to be your most direct route to a repair. Even if you're able to find a local shop that can handle the repair it'll take longer.

Thanks Doug. I'll contact the manufacturer today. I suppose I'd feel better about the repair job if it was being done by the manufacturer but I dread shipping it out. I suppose I'll just have to insure the beejeezus out of the package.

what brand camera? If it's Nikon, and you don't want to ship, their headquarters is on Long Island, which is a short trip from CT.

I'd rather ship than drive to Long Island (I grew up there and don't go back unless I have to)

It's a Canon. Thanks for the info though! :D
