DSPS tank from Thailand (1000 gallon+)

I started reading this thread when it first came about, and watched the build, and thought wow this is going to be very cool. I just checked it months later and all I can say is that it is stunning! I never thought that room would turn into the most beautiful place for an aquarium, and that the contents inside the tank would be even prettier.
Job well done! :)

Ben

Lies, Aquarium Shine has them in stock right now. Topicorium probably has, something... And I am sure just about any lfs around here can order them for you.

What's with all the Michigan people in this thread? :D

I was at Aquarium Shine the other day and saw the sponges as well. Actually - my first time there since they relocated from the other shop in Troy. Tropicorium - I remember when they were the only guys in town who propigated SPS... wow time flies!

Sorry for the off topic comments, but it was nice to see the Michigan guys here. It's amazing to see people from all over the world glued to your build Ching!

Chingchai , you try BLV 10000k with T12 blue actinic in your old tank and Ushio 20000k with T12 full spectrum in your current tank , what did you prefer and why ?

Ching, do the fish stores and wholesalers not frag most corals up over there? I noticed that most of the pictures from the store were almost all sps colonies, and 2 of your new acans are fairly large colonies as well. There is very few places here in the US where you can get colonies like that, because as soon as most places get them the chop them up immediately.

My QT tank

Of course I prefer the last set.
Coral(especially SPS) does have better color with 20000k and T12 full spectrum. Growth rate is also acceptable.

LFS here usually don't frag corals.
Only some shop do frag expensive stuffs like Aussie Acanthasthea, sponge etc.
