Chingchai,

This is truly most amazing. Thank you. Hands down the best thread I have ever read. I can't wait to see how it continues to develop.

I have a friend that travels to Thailand for vacations with his wife usually once each year. He has had nothing but great things to say, and after viewing this thread, I have a renewed interest in visiting your country. And diving on the natural reef there.

When are you planning on adding living things?

What is the noise like in the tank room? It looks like things are well insulated, but you have a lot of equipment, what about heat in the room with everything running?

Best of luck with everything.

John

John, thanks.
I am planning to put corals next month.
The noise is not so loud and the heat in the room is acceptable.

Wow

Wow

You have a very impressive setup there. Should have taken all that money and fed a 3rd world country, or found a cure for H1N1! Thats too much tank for anyone to have in their house. Gonna put a hole in the ozone with all the power that tank is gonna take!

wow just went through this thread and this build is amazing and it doesnt have corals in it yet! Great work on it and can't wait to see it set up.

Are you going to be using the towers that you built, the live rock we saw earlier, or a combo of the two? Either way I can't wait.

I will use both.
Also have 500kg live rocks coming from Singapore last week.
Now it is more than enough.

Thanks.
This lady, she did build a much bigger project than mine. But mostly in freshwater tank.
With her experience designing really large systems and your expertise in reef aquariums it sounds like you have a winning team. :D

I was born in this neighbourhood and still be very happy to live here.
Warren Buffett, who is worth more than $50 billion, still lives in the same modest house in Ohama that he bought in 1958 for $31,500.

He's happy there.

:D

ChingChai, is this one of your tanks?

I wish I can have US$1million.:p

This is where I was born. It is opposite the fish room.
My parent bought it in 1965. It costs US$7,000.00.
Now we still use it as our office.

I love the zoa gardens.

Yes, it is my tank. I have it for 7 years.
But I already sold the whole tank to my friend.
Nothing more excited with the soft corals.

Hello Chingchai

I have a question. My tank will be delivered in two days, of course it will take time to set up. I tried to search back through the previous threads but it is too big. You had mentioned before about using a specific media in your fuge. Was it Miricle Mud? I am new to Fuges I would like to know a little of your philosophy, you have had great results with your past tanks.

Again warmest regards

Neil

Hi Chingchai,

Long time reader of this thread and I finally have to jump in and say... "Absolutely fantastic!!!!" Always look forward to your updates.

I would love to come down to Thailand and see this setup in person and of course meet you! Only a short flight for me, even a day trip would be an option. Next time your passing through Hong Kong on business let me know.

Andrew

That is an awesome RO/DI setup.

But one question,

how do you plan on setting up your auto top off? Direct from RO/DI to your sump or having a resevior for ro/di water?

Thanks

Hi Ching. I just wanted to tell you that I spent the past 4 hours reading though this entire thread. Please don't tell my boss because I really should have been working! I can't even begin to imagine how long you have been dreaming of this unbelivable set up. You have not missed a single detail. Congrats on the major accomplishment.. or addiction! I look foward to seeing its completion. GREAT BUILD!!!! Oh and forget about the haters!

I am sure we will see this tank in books for many years to come as an example of reefkeeping perfection and dedication. Have you bee approached by any authors?
