Hi Chingchai,

Long time reader of this thread and I finally have to jump in and say... "Absolutely fantastic!!!!" Always look forward to your updates.

I would love to come down to Thailand and see this setup in person and of course meet you! Only a short flight for me, even a day trip would be an option. Next time your passing through Hong Kong on business let me know.

Andrew

Hi Andrew,

Thank you.
I also love your build thread as well.

Thanks for your invitation.
I hope we can meet either in BKK or HK soon.

Cheers,

Hi Ching. I just wanted to tell you that I spent the past 4 hours reading though this entire thread. Please don't tell my boss because I really should have been working! I can't even begin to imagine how long you have been dreaming of this unbelivable set up. You have not missed a single detail. Congrats on the major accomplishment.. or addiction! I look foward to seeing its completion. GREAT BUILD!!!! Oh and forget about the haters!

Thanks a lot.
Sorry I waste your working time.
But I promise I won't tell your boss.
Noted on the haters. I will keep that in mind.:)

I am sure we will see this tank in books for many years to come as an example of reefkeeping perfection and dedication. Have you bee approached by any authors?

For this new tank, not yet.
But the old one, there will be one book releasing soon.

Last week LFS owner asked me whether I am interested in a pair of Platinum Clownfish.
I told him why not.
Today they arrive BKK so I can say these are the first collection of this tank.

Amazing build and fish ChingChai!! I can't wait to see them swim and thrive in your tank :D

Also just out of curiosity, Thailand should have very good resource of clean tropical natural sea water, are you going to use some NSW as you are starting tank?

Ching - Looking better and better!

I know you still thinking about livestock but how many Apogans are you looking to put in your tank? This is the one thing I am looking forward to in your tank! A 50+ group or red spot or Longspine :D

In my country, Coral farm use to have such gems for sale. a mating pair cost about US$300 to $500 4 years ago. Yes a pair. Now, i hardly see any shipment coming. perhaps all go to Thailand to fetch a better price. :)

Kev,

It's the peak of the moonsoon season over there right now. Salinity in the Gulf of Thailand is very, very low. It's probably no more than 1.017-1.019 SG. Maybe that's why he's not using natural seawater right now.

:D

SHeesh your equipment is better then every LFS in my area by leaps!

It is actually better than nearly every public aquarium as well. Chingchai you have challenged my dreams, now I have to dream bigger.

Very nice clowns!!

Well, such a project deserdes comparable fishes...and nothing less...

Chingchai, i´m sure nature will provide you very nice animals as a reward of all the efforts on such a Marine Monument...

Congrattulations again, and it´s still time to say that i would be very proud and honored to be your neighbour.. ;)

I don't think I have ever seen a tank with so many people world wide are anticipating the day when fish and corals can go into the tank.

Thanks.

NSW here is okay but I prefer to use synthetic salt to mix with RO/DI water.
