Hi Chingchai, love the fairy wrasses but please be careful of them jumping you may have to make a net cover for the aquarium, those fairy wrasses will jump just a matter of time and i dont want you to lose them ,your taste in fishes is superb though!

I did have bad experience with the jumping issue.
Hopefully, the small gap between edge of the tank and lighting fixture will force them not to jump.

Well, I don't know this is called direct connection or not.
As you can see from the pics below:
- yellow pipe is the pump from sump to refugium
- water from refugium back to sump
- water from sump to main tank

Well, I am so happy with the design, equipment etc.
The only thing I wish I can change is the size of the tank. Bigger is always better.

To me your tank size ,equipment ,set up is already perfect!
but If I have a wish It will be a peninsula tank because I am a sucker for see through tank .lol

The little 412 that my students and I are building right now is peninsula style. It should really look nice when we are done.

Ching, I think I understand about the size always seeming too small. We started with a 240 and thought that it would never be full of corals or run out of room for that one other fish that we really wanted to add, but it did.

I am sure that the same feeling will come back after this new tank is established and stocked.

maybe the cure is to also go small and keep a tiny tank or small group of tiny tanks (well I can see that quickly becoming a problem too LOL)

It says a great deal about the thought that went into the construct as well as the build itself to be able to sit down in front and not have that little voice in the back of your mind say "...if only we had done it this way or built that instead..."

I'm still having difficulty with my chiller. My fan stays on all the time....
What temp does your chiller come on and what temp does it switch off?.
Do your compressor fans stay on all of the time?

I started them with pellet food.
IMO, fish will eat everything. It is just a matter of time.
Just relax and watch.
