DSPS tank from Thailand (1000 gallon+)

Wow....2+ milllions hits. You should put advertisements on this thread and make some money!!!

Best of Luck to you. Unfortunate, you are unlikely to get all of the Majano because they like to hide in the deep cracks in the rock. I broke down my tank to get rid of Majano 5 years ago but they came back again. Did you ever consider using a natural predator like matted filefish to keep them under control? I hear a lot of people have good experience with them and they are much less likely to bother your corals than butterflyfish.

aurora. I do have advertisement on my avatar.:spin3:
Thank you for your kind comments.

Ching, is that a "gut feeling" about the state of the mud or based on a shift in parameters in the system. I am guessing there are components which are consumed/depleted through time

I was just wondering what you based changing the mud on. I wonder with all the other changes you are making to the coral structure if leaving the mud alone until sometime after would have been a better option. Not second guessing,
just wondering

David

You are right. It is just a "gut feeling".
That's why I recommend you to try it.

Mission begins:
I start removing corals from the left side. You guys can see plenty of Majano anemone on the rock.

Don't know how many days to finish this mission.

Refugium is already full.

Wishing you all the very best Chingchai.
What is your plan for the majanos? Wouldn't you be risking another infestation if you are using the same live rock? Or planning to rescape with new live rock?
We are glad that your passion and enthusiasm is back and looking forward for an excellent journey with you and this masterpiece tank.

Only a very few I mean fewer than few can claim the swimsuit shot for tank maintenance. :)
Your refugium now is looking worthy of TOTM if you ask me!!! Must be one of the best coral collection ever in there.

Looking forward to great new innovations from you :)

Happy Reefing!!!

Thank you for sharing your work of art. I can only imagine the dedication it takes to keep pushing the limits of the hobby. I'm new to the hobby and learning from your efforts. If all goes well, going to try a larg build in the future.
