insane video!!
Hi Ching. I am been very pleased with my UV Sterilizer unit from Emperor Aquatics. On my 150 gallon mix, I have been running the 50 Watt High Output UV Sterilizer. It has worked great! Excellent customer service, reasonable replacement cost for bulbs.
On my new 1,400 gallon system, I had a choice. I could go with the 150 Watt High Output UV Sterilizer (recommended for 1,060 gallons), however, it was very large and bulky (70" x 5 3/4"). I ended up going with 120 Watt unit and a smaller unit.
The amount of flow is of course controlled with whatever pump you choose to use. The higher flow will take care of algae. With the slower flow, you will kill ich and other protozoan parasites.

I hope this helps you!

I really enjoyed seeing the crosshatch swim laps around the tank. I've been dreaming about a big upgrade EVERYDAY so I can keep larger size active fish like that.
Thanks for sharing the video. I see a lot of guys with nice fish, but they dont hardly put up any vids. I guess maybe they're not as high-tech enough to video and upload them. You and Jawsee especially, really takes the extra step to share your enjoyment with the rest of the world.
Looking at the wattage on these UV, seems like they're what is needed for a huge tank.
400-1200w UV's.

Hi Chingchai, your tank is a great inspiration for me !
I very much look forward to meet you !
Seeing pictures and videos of your tanks never gets old. You have such an amazing tank!!! Truly spectacular!!!
It took me close a week to read all these threads.
First of all, thanks for the willingness to share your reef journey with us.
You have clearly demostrated what ones can achieved with endless passion.
I have gain much useful information especially your initial planning and at those times when you encountered problems with your tank.
You have showed that the more ones share/give, the more returns ones get back!
Happy reefing!
Robin
Chingchai,
My BK is near to arrive home. Do you know if is needed any skimmer position? I mean, do the bk needs to be settled above the sump's water level, at the same level or it doesn't matter??
Thanks
P.D: show us the Leucozonus anthias!!!!!
Sir
Thanks for passing the info to Bo
Also how's your peppermint hogfish behaving?
my masudai is very docile in fact it's actually getting bullied by my leopard wrasse.
So I am thinking of getting a few you think it will work?
Your video helps make reefing that much easier to enjoy. It is a true inspiration.
Stunning tank for sure. I would do nothing else but sit and enjoy this tank if I had it. (Besides all the work that goes into making it look THAT nice! lol)
Lawrence. You are welcome.
My peppermint hogfish is well-behaved.
Which one of masudai do you have? I don't think it is a good idea to add more of them.
Chingchai. With that said, what components/variables would you change if you were to build your awe-inspiring reef system over again ?
Also, on the other hand, what are some aspects in which you are 100% satisfied ?
Thank you in advance
