DSPS tank from Thailand (1000 gallon+)

Hi Chingchai,

Thank you for sharing your journey with the world! I dont have a salt water tank, but I am into the freshwater hobby. After about a week of reading through your amazing thread and trying to absorb all the information you and this awesome community have shared, its got me thinking of trying my hand in a reef tank of my own someday.... You mentioned at the start of this thread that Takashi Amano was one of your inspirations for your tank build and he is also the man who inspired me to keeping Nature style aquariums. I went from goldfish to arowanas to now enjoying planted tanks and building an eco system for fish that is beautifully aquascaped.

Have you ever tried you hand in a nature styled freshwater Aquarium?

As for Mr. Amano vs Chingchai comparisons. You called Mr Amano "a legend" and I agree but if you are not yet, you are definitely on your way to becoming a legend yourself!

I know your are busy but have you ever thought of having you own website or blog, where you can keep all the information about your tanks, your fish, your coral etc.... I have just gone through 297 pages and noticed people asking the same question over and over again. Maybe, that will help you out...and for sure it will help noobs like me who have to go back through the pages trying to follow all this information here.... Anyway, its just a suggestion....you never know, you might even attract some advertisers with your following....Personally, I would love to read from time to time about your thought process, whether its a new tank idea, to a dream coral or fish etc...

Again, I want to thank you for all you do.

Your newest fan,

Yuri

Yuri. Welcome to Reef Central.
Thank you for your kind words.
No, I don't have interest in freshwater tank.
Also I don't have time to set up my own website or blog. Sorry.

Holding tanks are ready.
I will start to do the change by tomorrow.

Seamless unification, insightfully constructed/plumbed ... Looks nice, Chingchai :)

Once this foundational aquascaping change is implemented, what are your plans/thoughts regarding the continually evolving biological processes ?

Am I correct in assuming youll be dosing a multi-strain bacterial source, post remodel ? Prodibio, perhaps ...

I specifically remember you previously utilized the Prodibio system, on your old 300G system, I believe. Id humbly recommend to dose a few vials, over the course of the first few weeks at the very least, if, for whatever reason, you didn't already have this in the plans.

Also, will you be performing any long term sandbed maintenance during this process, while it is fully exposed, such as heavily cleaning and/or replacing sections of the sandbed ?

Please answer in as much detail as is feasible for yourself, I'm truly interested in your thoughts regarding these changes and the multi-faceted aspects/variables associated with them ...

kob kun mak krab, Chingchai :)
