DSPS tank from Thailand (1000 gallon+)

I don't know how you keep making one of the best reef tanks better but you keep doing it. Excellent work, good luck on your new project.
Kevin. Pictures don't tell justice.
If you see the tank personally, you will be shock with plenty of majano anemones and some bad condition corals.

Hey chingchai,

how's everything going on with the new rocks?

I have some questions maybe you can answer them:

1. you place the corals pretty near to each other. Where do you know from that they are not getting attacked or killed by its neighbour? Is there any "rule" or something? Because I can see that you sometimes even overlap some of them.

2. of course you made your person interesting by showing this project to us, so I was wondering, what is your profession/job?

3. Did you ever have bad parameters in your water like PO4 too high etc. and if yes, how do you fight it? Chemical stuff or water changes?

New rocks is okay. Clean and smell good.
1. The damage of coral touching is normal from me. Some can kill another but the not the whole colony. But I choose to place similar species close to each other.
2. My profession is fruit importer. Not a good business these days.
3. Since I do weekly water change 15%, I never have problem with water parameter.

Really beautiful shots Ching, I new it was coming but I still cringe at the thought of it being renovated. Best of luck with everything.

Majano Anemones

Majano Anemones

Hi Ching.

Aside from replacing your main rock structures, a thorough cleaning of your tank, picking/cutting and dipping your corals...

Are you setting up any special treatment or quarantine of your corals to make sure that you have eradicated all of the Majano Anemones and any other pests?

Also, have you had any majono's make their way into any of your other tanks?

Thanks and good luck!

Dan

Good luck with the renovation sir

Also there is not a lot of very good business in this current economy unless you're producing oil

Ching, do you have a time line in mind for the move? and what are you looking for in terms of soaking that artificial rock work i.e. a certain chem parameter or other change

Hi Dan,

So far I don't have any special treatment yet.
Yes, majano did make their way to my nano tank.
I just re-make it this week.

Dave. I will do the change first or second week of January. Artificial rock has been cured for almost a month.
