Well this is my first post here on this forum!

I am sitting here thinking one thing about this tank -JOHHNY ON THE SPOT!

I keep 9 tanks in my restaurant from 25g-300g and a few at home, this is a most impressive build.

I see from your ruler in earlier posts the company logo first fruits, it is a brand that I have used in my restaurant many times, is that the company you work for? If so, I have a ? for you about the name if you could pm me.

Count me as subscribed, I recently bought the supplies and equipment from a marine company that went out of business here. The owner had a 800g sw set up and I have a thought one day to set up a monster tank with the supplies and equipment I bought.

Thank you very much for taking the time to post this build for the world to enjoy!

Chef. Thanks for your nice comment.
I also have one younger friend and his nickname is Chef.:)

I buy some Apple from this company but not directly.

sawadee-krup. awesome tank build. We are looking to move to Thailand in the next couple of years (my wife is from Loei). Nice to know some fellow reefers exist over there :)

Sawasdee krub.
It's good to know you will move to live in Thailand.
Anything I can help, please let me know.

Yes, we all did have a very good time in this hotel. ;)

This is my first post............I have been following this project from the outset and I am beginning to feel like I am losing my virginity!!
Your discipline and focus is to be admired and very much appreciated....especially by the neophytes like myself.

I am/was/maybe about to undertake a project of my own but the more I read, the scarier it gets. I am finishing my walk out basement with about 4,500 sq ft of finished space. I am planning to reserve about 2,000 Sq ft for an aquarium that has the following dimensions.... It is 'V' shaped with one arm at 10 feet and the other at 15 feet. It will be 36 inches high and 36 inches deep. It will be custom made acrylic and laid on a stand of railway I beams to support the weight. I want the entire structure to be viewable on all sides except one end which will extend to the purpose built service room. Without including the cost of live stock (fish and corals) I am allowing a budget of $250,000 for the base installation and supporting tech. My question to you would be........would you consider this project too high risk or would you advise me to proceed with caution?

Please forgive me if this is not appropriate to ask but I have to reach out to your experience and common sense as I have not found a more contemporary example anywhere in the world of today's tech and knowledge in this field........well done and thank you so very much for sharing your journey with us.

Hi Peter,

I don't understand why you want the V-shaped tank. It is very difficult to do the aquascaping and placement of wavemakers.
But if you insist to do it. I think you need minimum 48 inches deep.
Your budget is reasonable.
No high risk at all in case you can manage or hire somebody to take care of this project.
Anything I can help, just let me know.

Here is some updated shots.

Does anyone else find this comment hilarious?

Im pretty sure that the camera is so that he can broadcast his tank on the internet.

chingchai: How will this tank be viewed? I noticed on the first page that you had a 3-D rendering of your tank and I noticed a red couch in the pic. Is there another room on the other side of the wall that you will be breaking into?
