Has anyone tried this product yet? I read about it in the curent ishue of marine fish and reef magazene the 2005 anual...the egg sizes are 40-50 microns in size...and are a high density food source...that info came from Eric Bornman....but it did not come out and say directly that its a good food source for clams....for the life of me I cant remember the right size particls that clams prefer...

After checking out DTs web site they stated that their phyto is 2 to 12 microns in size, so Im willing to guess that the oyster eggs are to large in size for clams? but thats just my guess...

Clams will have difficulty assimilating that size particle of food. The gills will clog and the particles will not be utilized. Clams use phytoplankton in the <10 micron range.
Oyster eggs would be a good food source for corals or larval fish
based on the size 50+microns.
