Wow!!!!
Beautiful aquarium.
Any ideas on the culprit that gave your powder blue the gash?
Well, here's an update at 14 months. Now this is a big one, enjoy the new scape, took me a LOT of effort to get it done.
Wow great job on the 're scape. I've also been wanting to change my scape for a while now. How long did it take you and where did you pick up the rods?
Thanks for the info, did you try and keep the rock wet while you were drilling it? Sorry for all the questions I just want to get as much info before I do it to mine.It took me a few days, I would say about 20 hours in total. I've picked up 1/2'' acrylic rods from a local acrylic shop called Plastic World.
The biggest issue was where to move existing corals when doing the rescaping - luckily I have a frag section in my sump so all of my corals went there temporarily. I also did the re-scaping half of the tank at a time - that made it a lot easier, otherwise I don't think I'd be able to do it.

Wow, haven't checked in on to your thread for a long time and I must say I'm pretty impressed.
With your previous tank you had issues with sps colours. You seem to have overcome that. What did you do to overcome that? Also since you are running a radion in the sump area, do the colours match what is in the display under the T5's?
Thanks.
Hi Sahin, thank you for your kind words it means a lot coming from you. I'm as concerned about my colours as any other hardcore SPS reefer.
So far I attribute the color change primarily to the maturity of the reef and a proper balance of light to nutrient. I dose nitrate and it seems to help a lot with the coloration.
I still have Radions in the tank and I like them a lot. I must say that the colors are a little bit different, while some easy corals (red monti) would look identical, some finicky acros would not. Red planet would be more green, but I know for a fact that this has more to do with light's intensity and not the spectrum - I've seen the same thing under T5. At the moment my Radion intensity is lower and many finicky acros look different, but I can't say that they necessarily look worse - just different. I should experiment with this more to really provide a definitive answer.
Perhaps next time I do the video (1 month from now) I will do a tour of the sump area.
I absolutely love this tank. It's growing in so nicely. How do you have the radions hanging?
Really look forward to your updates and watching your reef flourish!
Can you please share your water change schedule and whether you incorporate AWC?
