dutch planted aquariums:

Hands down he has the best office, even without the tank. Do you have the link to the other pictures? If memory serves to the right of the tank is a Japanese garden.

I don't have any others on my PC but I know they're out there. They were all printed in the ADA catalog a few years ago and many people have scanned them to post online.

So I went and bought a couple driftwood pieces at TRS after work today...

They're soaking in a 5g bucket for ease of changing out tannin tinted water. Have to go back tomorrow to grab some substrate.

So I met up with Mel at TRS today....

i work at a LFS and we have a display fluval edge. it has a nice piece of anubias on driftwood as well as a couple other plants with black sand. its actually a really awesome tank and super easy to take care of, but regardless... its not that heavily planted but every time i work i hear at least 5 customers say something nice about the tank and when i say it costs $130 everyone turns their head the other way.

ps i think ive seen that pic of that one tank with the japanese man behind it. no doubt one of the best tanks ive ever seen hands down.

see, i heard 130 bucks after seeing the set up, the built in lights, filter, media and said? are you kidding? do you have any in stock? it is just a beautiful set up. i'm going with the black sand, the "dark crystal" driftwood, a couple nice rocks and maybe two plants. One contrasting fish.

we can get it in bronze and black.. however you must convince the owner you want to get it... they were horrible sellers (we just got rid of our last one which has been at the store for many a moon) and she doesnt trust people who just say "yea, i want it!" i guess we dont have the customer base for something like that. its great for 5 lil fish or so. i also hear many customers wishing they could figure out a way to make it a reef tank... and other than throwing a couple powerbrites on the top of it i dont see if it could work.

TRS had one left in stock (which i had them hold, in black), guess they've been selling alot of them...and i bet if you worked at it...there's a way to make it a Pico tank.
