Dwarf Angles and Ricordea?

Etoimos

I have read that it can be hit or miss with Dwarf Angles and LPS corals, but I've not read anything specifically about Ricordea.

Anyone successfully keep both in the same tank?

I have only had great success with Flamebacks, Multicolor, Atlantic Pygmy, Coral Beauty, and 1out of 2 Flame Angels not nipping. The other Flame, Bicolor, Half-Black, Elibi, Keyhole, and Lemonpeel nip immediately after introduction to the tank.

Little Darling takes a bite out of everything just to see what it taste like even though he's antagonized it a million times before.

Next step is a miniature Hawaiian sling.

LiveAquaria has some of the best information out there for casual reading but just remember "Reef safe" "with caution" means hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha. :-(

My next great idea is going to be some pretty blue clove polyps.

I've read several places that mushrooms are one of the least likely polyps to be chewed on by a dwarf angel.

Any of that Rico specific?

So it nips at your Rico's?

Nothing with dwarf angels in entirely predictable. Mine have never targeted my ricordia, doesn't mean they won't decide next week that it's delicious.

It looks like there is a lower chance of them messing with the Rico's, so I think ill give it a try when the time comes. Ill add the dwarf angel later in my stocking order to give the Rico's time to settle in.

3 ric's are in higher flow areas and usually undisturbed, but I would like to move them to a lower flow area.

the 4 in the low flow areas where it is easier for the flame angel to maintain swimming are smaller. reason unknown.

That is for the Florida ric's.
The 3 Yuma's seem happy.

According to all the experts the ones in low-flow area should be doing better. The ones in high flow area tend to Flap in the breeze a little bit.

I would be inclined to leave them be if they are doing good there.
