The existing tank is a 30g tall. and is very difficult to work in. This will give me better access and increase my footprint a little bit.
The tank is 35x18x12 if I remember right. I plan to use two MP-10s for flow. Not sure about the drain yet and it will be BB for sure. Throw in a couple of frag racks and good to go

Still up in the air for lighting. I have an extra 2ft Illumina, a Mitras a 400Mh with 20k bulb and the trusty old Tek light 3ft 4 bulb Ive been using for years over the existing tank.

Thats it for now, will keep you updated ( in case anyone cares :) )

This piece coming from my local hook up Jay at RR Canada

It was a question of making rent this month or buying more Frags, well I guess I can always move back in with my Mom :)

Thanks Jay

Frag tank is in!

Frag tank is in!

Wish I had time to do a nice photo session of the dismantling and rebuild but just not enough time
The most exciting part was scaring the crap out of the two guys helping me when they found a 3ft corn snake behind the old frag tank.
We live in an old old Amish built farmhouse where code was not exactly high on the priority list. We have holes so we have mice and now apparently we have snakes LOL

Here is the finished product, very happy how it turned out

A little closer

Somewhat cloudy but I had dosed a little coral snow to help the skimmer get as much gunk out of the water as possible
Pretty smooth transition really with no immediate losses
Moved the Sailfin to the main display and also added a pair of Naoko's Fairywrasse
and a filefish that will hopefully eat some aptasia. Some people have reported Filefish to nibble SPS but I though it was worth the chance as Aptasia are now starting to sting the base of corals. I added 6 tiny berghia but I think the Aptasia ate them !
