So I bought a nice looking Green LTA from the lfs today and took it home and realised it was abnormally green... I have suspicions that its dyed because its glows slightly under my powerbrite actinic leds. Its a bit more fluorescent around the mouth. Anyways I want your input if its dyed or not. Pics are as best as i can do, and it looks a bit brighter in person!

The reason i posted this is because it looks a bit different in person. The anemones fluorescent coloring isn't consistent throughout the body. It has places around the anemone and tentacles that are streaky and blotchy, not a solid consistent color. It also appears to be slightly more colorful on one side then the other. Ive never seen a color pattern like that, but if its natural cool!

It's natural. When you see a uniform color throughout, then you need to get suspicious. The dye usually doesn't fluorescence either. They use stuff like coolaid and food coloring to dye anemones. This usually doesn't glow like that.

Is dye usually always a "dip" into said dye, or is it sometimes injected? The injection route was what i was thinking. Either way I'm glad the overall consensus is not dyed, that's great news.
