I just purchased a yellow sebae anemone. Are all the yellow anemones dyed? I asked the clerk if it was dyed and he assured me that it was not, however a friend of mine has doubts. Can someone clarify this for me?
If it makes it it will lose the dye over time, turn white, and than brown when it regains its beneficial algae. As todd said very poor survival rates in general. It really is a shame the anemones are being pulled from the wild only to end up dyed.
Man, when I first saw the anemone I thought it was absolutely beautiful, but now when I look at it, I see it as a sad torture story. I am bummed out. I will contact the owner of the store tomorrow.
