Well since I am going to be breaking down my 220 to redo some plumbing. (had a major flood the morning of St. James gathering), I figure I will once again use a calcium reactor. I decided to try my hand at making one. I am using a 14" piece of 8"x 1/4" wall cast tubing for the main body. Flanges were cut from 1/4 " sheet and were cut by Fordguy1992 I am going to use a Eheim 1048 for the recirculating pump but if need I will use a Pan world 10PX. I should have it assembled by early next week, ( need to get a few more plumbing pieces). Here are a few pictures of the unassembled parts:

I will contimue as the build goes along. ....

Hopefully i will have it online by the end of next week. Still need to pick up a few fittings and the refulator.

The screen is make from plastic gutter guard. I have a brand new piece that I am going to be using instead of the old one inside the skimmer.

Looking really good. How much do you have invested in it so far. I really like the bubble counter. Congrats on an awesome DIY project.

well I have around $120.invested that includes the $65. for the Pan world pump. I was lucky enough to have the 8" acrylic which i bought on ebay a few years ago. (cost me $40.) If I had to buy the acrylic tube id say it would cost around $140. total
