Early signs of ich in display tank.

X2. But to do hypo you need to get your water to 1.009 if it's any higher you're not killing it.

I would shoot for 1.008 since the margin for error is large, especially depending on what is used to check salinity and how often it's calibrated. I don't advocate hypo because of how difficult it is to do correctly for 30+ days

I agree and only recommend TTM for ich treatment. I don't believe that the OP has ich and that Prazi will take care of her fish itching problem.

After watching out for a few days, I realised I have stray voltage in the tank. Didn't know till I stuck my hand in and felt buzzing. I'm starting to think the flashing might not be ich and it has to do with the stray voltage.

I sure hope that was your issue.
But you now have been warned. You have too many fish to QT them all without a lot of work and expense. QT your new arrivals going forward.

I really hope so too.

As for the quarantine Dmorty gave me a great idea to just put the corals in another tank and treat the display so that's not a problem. That's the last of the stocking though. I'd say the tanks really under stocked but with the tangs...the more space the better.

Fish are okay so far though, giving them plenty of garlic guard etc. I'm hoping for voltage being the cause of scratching but if not, then its a waiting game for now. They're fat and happy atm I won't bother them if I don't have to :) otherwise it's inverts to QT and treatment in display.

Strangely enough, they're eating like absolute horses. Even Mr Ich Magnet. (Blue tang) :lmao:

I hope things work out. Out of curiosity what was putting in the stray voltage. I had a skimmer pump quite awhile ago give me some.

My lights. They're built in to my canopy pretty low. I'm assuming water splashing or evaporation might have something to do with it.
