Easy Macro Algae?

Hello-

I have never kept any sort of algae, well, at least on purpose

I would like to try a macro, but I have heard that they do not ship well, and my LFS doesn't sell the stuff. Can someone suggest an easy one to start with? And maybe some suggestions on lighting too? I have two 36" normal flourescent lights, and two T5 actinic blue bulbs right now.

Any help would be great.

The most commonly available are gracilaria, chaetomorpha, caulerpa and ulva. In general they all ship quite well if packed right and shipped via overnight service.

Are any of these better for one purpose over another? Also, are some more hardy than others? Do they have different lighting needs?
