Well the did come on sat ,good pkg ,good service.
These are the Plusright 14000K.

IMO They fired fine ,and initially they are bright. But I'm not yet digging the color. They look closer to a 10000K. Not yellow ,just very white.
They were bought to replace my SPS 14000 bulbs when I cracked one while doing my retro hood.

They seem to need a lot of blue to help the overall color. Hopefully the Plusright will get more blue in them in a week or two. Otherwise they are off to a good start. And seem like a decent option.
 
My 20k has started to get a little more of a hint of blue, but also got a bit whiter. Its a great look, nowhere near as blue as most 20ks. Goes great with my actinics.
 
Well after reading I am going to go with 4 of the 14K DE's for my in wall setup. at the price they are if they are not blue enough I will buy 4 of the 20K's and go from there. Will post pics when I get them.

I can't beleive I read this whole thread! Thanks for all the great info and pics guys. I am currently in the market for new bulbs and think I will try out the plusrite. :dance:

Just put my 2 250w single end 14k in and I am pleased. I have addtional t5 lighting but they are bright and have good color.
 
Ive had these bulbs & they are nice. However its time to replace my bulbs soon & I think im gonna go back to Phoenix 14ks. I had the 20k plus rites & they still werent as blue as the phoenix & honestly everybulb casing is a little off in size. The bulbs work fine & look pretty good. Ill let you guys know if I can tell a huge diff when I go back to the Phoenix bulbs.
 
I thought I'd toss up another ebay bulb update

I've been running a 20K bulb over my biocube since June and it's still running strong. I don't have any par data, but all my corals are thriving and the bulbs visible output has changed little, it at all. Like the others mentioned, it's not as blue as other 20K bulbs but some actinics would fix that. I'd say it's a 12-14K look. Not bad for $20
 
I've been running plusrite 175w se 14k bulbs for almost two months now and have been very happy with them. I am running my MH's for only 4 hours, and my 40w t12's for 8. I have a mixed reef with very little SPS, but what I do have is doing great. All my softies are seeing good growth, as well as my LPS. I won't think twice about spending $48 on another set of these bulbs when it's time for new ones!
 
I just installed two 250watt SE 20k Artemis bulbs, and the colour is awesome!
Perfect amount of blue.
I have used many brands of bulbs and these look just as good or if not better than any top brand bulb.
I will post a pick.

I also have used the ebay bulbs. 175watt 14k I was very happy with the color and the growth did not suffer at all. There customer service is great also. I had one bulb go out after only a month but they quickly replaced at no extra charge.
 
I've been happy with the 20k, but I installed my 14k plusrite to test it today, and I like it as well. It is a much different look than the 20k, with a bit more yellow, but it seems more natural with actinic supp. I do like the crisp 20k look better though. It is def putting out stronger light then the 20k.
 
I just got a 150W 20K plusrite bulb from trust_deals on eBay. Cheap, fired right up, nice color. Just what I was looking for. I wouldn't have bought it without this thread. Thanks guys.
