Yup!
finally starting to make some movement on getting my 93 gallon cube going so I thought I would start a thread. The tank is going to be on the second floor at the top of the stairs on the landing. There is a short wall on two sides of the tank and the other two are open to the room.
The tank is right at the top of the stairs. This is also right outside of our bedroom. This has made it an interesting build as the tank must be as close to silent as possible with being outside our out bedrooms. Here is a view of the tank heading downstairs.
The stand isn't quite done, but it is getting close. The raw wood around the lip where the tank sits is going to be finished with granite. I am in the middle of getting that taken care of and the tank stand can then be finalized. Everything with this build not only has to be quiet, but also furniture grade. This is more of a piece of furniture than an aquarium. All four sides of the stand and canopy are finished so it can be viewed from any side and not look any different with a couple of very small exceptions.
I posted this in another thread, but it wasn't mine. The first batch of goodies for the tank. :bounce1:
Going with a Radion XR30wG3Pro for lighting. This should do everything I need and fit all of my requirements.
After speaking with CoralVue, I settles on a Reef Octopus 150int Prime as it was specifically manufactured to be quiet. I couldn't wait for the DC motor on this one so I hope I don't need to turn it down.
Managed to have anough room under there for a Reef Octopus Self Cleaner 150
