Ecotech blackfriday?

Hey I've seen in past years Ecotec has had a blackfriday sale. Anyone heard if there doing it this year? I'm really hopping to get 2 mp40qd and if there 20% off Santa can't say no! :celeb1:

Yes, very disappointing. I mean do they value their customers? Even 10% would show that. Probably going Tunze now for new build.

Was going to get 2 more MP40's but since they could care less about a little black Friday incentive, i think it will be a pair of neptune WAV power heads.

I had planned to buy some goodies too but went another direction. Still great pumps though

I ended up buying the Neptune WAV system just because it was on sale and the Ecotech was not. I wanted the Apex anyhow so it made sense (I hope).

Yeah, I'm a little disappointed that I can't get a new pump for less than retail.
But throw a temper tantrum like a 6 year old and say I'm buying a different brand pump.
That's just stupid.

Not sure about anyone else but I was not throwing a tantrum. I also purchase a Vortec L1 pump today. I just looked at the cost of the Ecotech mp40 and the WAV. Since the WAV was on sale I bought them. Had the MP40 been on sale I might have made a different decision.

This seems hardly helpful or appropriate.

That being said I was bummed too. Ecotech does make good products, but it seems that quite frequently new legitimate competitors are entering the market and I would be worried about anyone leaving my brand for another. Especially in a niche market like reef keeping. Brand loyalty goes a long way but it's also a two way street and sometimes all it takes is a small event like this to push someone over to another brand. Who knows. They may like the grass on the other side and choose to stay.

I'm guessing the price point of their products is already at the max discount they can afford. They make good products and I'm sure there's a lot in R&D.

My point is, why do people seem to feel entitled to discounts?

Maybe I'm out of line, but when someone says they are going to buy something else because they weren't given a discount, just strikes me as a temper tantrum.

Please stop with this. No one is throwing any temper tantrum. People are just disappointed.. That's all.
