I have Gen2 Pro's and have pondered the same thing. If I do anything I have decided to do the upgrade. I don't like how the LED's drop below the housing. The way I have my lights mounted. the the radiant light from the non flush Led's would drive me nuts. If they were in a canopy I would sell mine and buy new. My $0.02
