EcoTech Marine VorTech Propeller Pump

It is very competativly priced against the tunze. They are really going to tske some of tunzes market share. say goodbye to drilling tanks and closed loops!!

Dennis, you can turn them down like a Tunze. At the moment, I don't think the controller or battery backup is available, but you can manually dial them down.

I had on running in my 20 gallon display at the SW-CFM. Very impressive from a flow standpoint. Lets see how long before people complain about the heat from the pump motor and control box. I know, I know the motor is on the outside. That may be true but some of that heat just might transfer to the tank from the motor even through the glass. BTW the temp issue was only an issue when running full blast. Maybe they have fixed this issue in the production model.

How big is the unit inside the tank? If it is not too large, maybe I will get it for my 24 g nano.

its not for nano tanks.. lol but tunze is coming out with nano streams in the next few months...

have you heard about the problems that the vortechs are having.. they are falling off the tanks.. they have a lot of issues...there is a big thread about it in another forum...

You want to put a 300$ pump in a nano?

I bow to you!

Yea it can Gabe. You can tune that monster down to 100gph, then when you want to wet your neighbor across the street you can tune it up to 3000gph!!!

Im running from the cops Gabriel Shhhh.

Im openining and closing windows. My comp is slow If I get more than 1 window open lmao...

ReefCentral then back to ebay on my bidd for some cool shoes.:D

If it works well, I would get it. I think it is rated down to 20 g tank. I am keeping SPS so intermediate high flow is not a problem. The Tunse is just too big of a unit to go into a 24 g. I can always use it in a bigger tank later if I want.
I was reading the other thread. Seem like not all the bugs are out of production yet, so I think I will wait on it.
What 300 when some of us, I included, sometime spend up to several hundred for some of the animal we keep. I used to pay 300+ a month in electricity for my tank.
